Pharmacology I is the first of two courses that examine the effects, mechanisms of action, administration, distribution, metabolism, excretion and therapeutic uses of drugs for various disease conditions. In this course, students are taught the principles of pharmacology and guided in an examination of drugs used for disorders of the autonomic nervous system and the respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, endocrine and urinary systems.
