This course is designed to give an overview of the development of community health nursing. The course will assist students to acquire a global view of the historical and current concepts of community health and the implications of community health and the implications for community health nursing practice. The course will also evaluate the health profile of the Caribbean region and present an overview of the health care system in Barbados.
