This course is designed to introduce students primarily to the implementation concepts of the Relational Database Model and Database Management systems. Students will become familiar with a database management system and database application development tool, specifically to create and enhance an appropriate user interface. The student will understand current issues in the development of database technologies and applications. The student will then be able to integrate these concepts into a coherent body of knowledge. Topics to be covered include Database Management Systems functions, Database Administration, Database Management approaches and Visual Basic for Application (VBA).
