BCC / NTI / Coursera Online Electives
The BCC–NTI–Coursera Online Electives program provides students of the Barbados Community College with access to globally recognized professional courses delivered through the Coursera learning platform. This initiative forms part of a collaborative partnership between the Barbados Community College (BCC), the National Transformation Initiative (NTI), and Coursera to expand opportunities for modern, flexible learning aligned with international standards.
These self-paced electives allow students to explore emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, sustainability, financial technology, management, and personal development while developing independent learning and digital skills. Courses are completed online and certified through Coursera, while academic oversight and final assessment are coordinated through BCC.
A reflective final project encourages students to connect global knowledge with practical application in Barbados, reinforcing the program’s focus on national development and workforce readiness. The initiative supports lifelong learning and equips students with competencies relevant to the evolving global economy.
