This course is a multi-disciplinary course drawing from politics, law, sociology and history. In doing this course you will acquire a deeper understanding of political systems, structures and institutions as they function within the Caribbean. It examines certain concepts, problems and issues within the region from a historical as well as a contemporary perspective. Essentially this course is designed to make individuals more aware of the political context within which they exist; as well as to make them more analytical in their thinking. Ultimately, individuals are expected to become better informed citizens capable of making sound choices.
