This course is designed to lay groundwork for the commencement of legal studies through the examination of the various definitions of law and of legal theorists. The development of law and its many sources is a main focus of this course and an awareness of function of law in society as opposed to moral rules. An examination of the Constitution as the role it plays in the legal system is also obtained. It will also identify the various Constitutional Rights and Civil Liberties of citizens and how these are protected. The Judiciary as a main canon of Constitutional Law is also examined.
