This course introduces some of the essential notions and principles in the field of economics, and gives an overview of economic fundamentals. It will examine selected features of the macro economy as well as the micro economy, and the impact these have on households, businesses, government and the rest of the world. It will also examine the use of data and diagrams relating to the production possibilities frontier, as well as circular flows in operations of the economy. It will survey issues relating to the economy, prices, markets, the financial system, international economics, and development issues.
