The course is designed to enhance students’ basic knowledge of the global picture of the tourism industry and to assist them to understand the components of this phenomenon. It also addresses the socio-cultural, economic and environmental impacts which this industry has on both tourists and hosts. Moreover, it examines the functions of the major industry sectors as well as their development and future.
