This course introduces students to the principles involved in ornamental horticulture. It focuses on the management of structures and facilities involved in the production of the various plant species. The course also highlights the principles of production and maintenance of various plants, flowers, ground covers and shrubs. The area of landscape planning and design is also introduced. At the end of the course, students are placed on attachments where some of the practical skills are taught.
