This course represents an introduction to the theoretical basis of curriculum design. The course explores the philosophical base of Physical Education and encourages students to think critically about the objectives of the discipline. Models of curriculum design are presented to guide students towards an understanding of the processes involved in the production of syllabi which meet the needs of the Caribbean student. This course aims to strengthen the theoretical base from which the future Physical Education teachers generate their practice and sensitize them to the need to use curricula for enrichment of their teaching-learning experiences.
