Pharmaceutics II is a continuation of Pharmaceutics I (PHAR 201). Students will learn about the development, production and administration of safe, effective and reliable drug dosage forms, particularly suppositories, capsules and tablets, and aerosols. A history and introduction to parenteral dosage forms, their formulation and administration will be covered. The primary goal is to provide the student with a basic understanding of and experience in handling common dosage forms encountered in community, clinic and hospital pharmacy. Students will also further develop an expertise in compounding various dosage forms.
