This course is designed to train the student in:
- Routine maintenance of equipment and instruments in the preparation of surgery and the layout of instruments and equipment for all dental procedures;
- The recording and charting with notes of relevant medical and dental history on dictation by dental surgeon;
- Assisting at the chair side during all dental procedures;
- Pre and post operative care of patients;
- Dental ethics and laws relating to dentistry and the structure of the profession.
