The primary aim of this course is to enlighten students about the complexity of social relations and to assist them in finding their ‘place’ in society. To this end values and logical thinking will be emphasised. Additionally, this course seeks to introduce the concepts of ‘health’ and ‘wellness’ and to examine how societies manage health care issues. Finally, various topics and agencies will be analysed to develop an understanding of what it is to be a health care giver.
