Basic Accounting is designed to ensure that a student has a basic knowledge of accounting. During the semester, the student will be exposed to the bookkeeping process and transaction analysis, computation and interpretation of financial statement data, external financial statements and basic principles surrounding the balance sheet.

Students will be provided with hands-on experience in preparing instructional material for use in their classrooms and learn how to integrate both traditional and evolving technologies effectively into their teaching as a means to promote student learning.
