Trident Learning

This course is designed for professional or retired adult language learners. It trains students to interact with the public in the target language on topics and in situations related to everyday living. It reviews and reinforces language previously acquired and introduces more complex situations. It also develops proficiency both for aural interpretation and oral expression of facts and opinions relating to a wide range of topical and cultural issues.

This course is designed to enable students to:
• Analyse and critique a literary text within the context of a specified theme.
• Use selected literary vocabulary and expressions appropriately both orally and in writing.
• Develop an appreciation of the socio-cultural background to the text and theme being studied.
• Develop additional research skills.
