Course Description
This course will emphasize the structure and function of bodily systems in the areas of transportation and defense, respiration, digestion and nutrition, excretion, reproduction and development.
It focuses on the anatomy and physiology of the following systems and topics as they relate to homeostasis of the human body: (i) blood and the cardiovascular system, (ii) lymphatic and immune systems, (iii) stress, (iv) respiratory system, (v) digestive system, (vi) nutrition and metabolism, (vii) urinary system and excretion, (viii) fluid and electrolyte balance and PH balance, (ix) male and female reproductive systems, (x) growth and development and (xi) heredity.
