This course builds on the previous course Anatomy and Physiology 1 in which students will be exposed to the structural, organizational, and functional aspects of the human system. It emphasizes the structure and functions of the other systems within the human body, including circulatory, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, reproduction, and genetics of the human body.

This course follows Applied Therapeutics I and continues to explore the role of the pharmacist in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care to the patient.

Students examine the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnosis and treatment of selected disease states. Emphasis is placed on infectious diseases, renal, immunologic,
rheumatologic and psychiatric disorders.

Students apply the pharmacology of previously studied drugs to patients with the aforementioned conditions. This focus will be achieved by analyzing patient cases as outlined in the casebook and making guideline-based recommendations for therapy.
