Trident Learning

The course provides an introduction to Occupational Therapy, its various areas of focus and instructions in the foundation skills of the profession and various treatment modalities.

An introduction to some specific skills used in counselling, behaviour modification and in the management of the psychiatric client.  The student is also exposed to the aetiology, diagnoses, and medical management of schizophrenia and affective disorders as well as the interventions used in personality disorders, violence, dementia, suicide and the poly drug abuser.
