This course exposes the student to further work on articulation; understanding of phonemes; the techniques of inflection, exercises for syllabication. Using the Linklather method students prepare voice for performance on stage. Students develop critical and analytical skills and the expressive voice through interpretive work on scenes, monologues and verse using classical and contemporary sources.

This course provides the student with a basic knowledge of the fundamental principles and current practices in water process, water distribution, wastewater collection, wastewater treatment and sludge processing. It also explores the science and engineering principles involved in water and sewage management.
It is also intended to provide the students with a background on water and sewage as they relate to public health issues. Process streams including primary, secondary and tertiary treatments of municipal wastewater, septage disposal, and sludge stabilization and disposal will be presented along with current technologies and their limitations. Overland flow, infiltration and other effluent land treatment systems will be described and discussed.

This course provides an introduction to hydrographic, geologic and seismic surveying practices. It briefly examines the physical features of the marine environment as these relate to eco sounding and marine datums and construction at sea. Principles, techniques and instruments used for geologic and seismic surveying are presented and illustrated with reference to gullies and subterranean waterways in Barbados. Students will be exposed to geologic mapping, position fixing and measurement as these relate to water resources. They will also utilize the knowledge and appreciations gained in these areas to discuss the economic exploitation and preservation of gullies, beaches and other water related environmental resources.

This fast passed, dynamic programme will give participants a comprehensive theoretical foundation and practical knowledge for software engineering on Internet Applications. The motivation under pinning the development and evolution of the Internet, the marriage of old and new software development paradigms, the technologies available for web application development and the social, business and legal impact of the Internet will be explored.
Participants will also have the opportunity to develop and deploy a portfolio of web applications which leverage the applications of leading edge technologies. The successful; student will possess a range of highly developed management and development skills for the Global IT Industry.
This course is designed to introduce students to the concepts, principles and practice of Software Development for the Web (i.e. Web Applications) using Java Server Pages. It includes some intermediate and advanced materials which are needed to build reasonably complex projects and to grasp “the bigger picture”. An abundance of appropriate examples and hands-on practice are given at every stage to assist students in understanding and mastering the material. Although the focus is on server side technologies, some client side technologies are incorporated to produce industry standard web applications.
