Caribbean Politics and Society is a multi-disciplinary course that draws on the disciplines of politics, law, sociology and history. Students will acquire a deeper understanding of political systems, structures and institutions of the Caribbean region as they examine related concepts, problems and issues from both historical and contemporary perspectives. Essentially, this course is designed to enhance students’ awareness of their political environment, making them more analytical in their thinking and ultimately more knowledgeable citizens capable of making socially, politically and economically informed choices.
