Health is described as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and is considered to be one of our most cherished possessions, one that is often taken for granted until it is lost. Staying healthy is a lifelong process that requires self-awareness, introspection, reflection, accurate information, and action. This course is designed to equip you with all of the above. It consists of two main sections, the first section will address the child from conception to eighteen years old and the second section, the adult from age 65 and over. It is my expectation that the knowledge gained from this course would help you to become a more informed, active participant in your own health care and that of your family.
