This course introduces participants of the importance and benefits of integrating technologies in teaching and learning.
This course will provide the student with an overview of the fundamental theories and principles of organizational behaviour and illustrate how these theories are translated into practice within organizations. It will demonstrate the importance of understanding behaviour at the individual, the group, and the organizational levels when managing organizations.
In addition the course will provide the student with an understanding of how people behave in the context of an organizational structure. Having a greater knowledge of human behaviour should provide a better understanding of attitudes and behaviours of people at work - co-workers, subordinates, supervisors, and clients.
A knowledge of curriculum theory and practice is essential for all practitioners in education. Hence, the significance of the models that guide the curriculum process should be understood. This course is, therefore, designed to provide teachers with the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for facilitating curriculum development, innovation, implementation and evaluation. Furthermore, it will provide participants with the opportunity to analyse the factors that influence curriculum change in the Caribbean.

This course is designed as an introduction to the teaching of Language Arts in the primary school.
Participants will investigate specific, practical and effective methods for the teaching of Language Arts based on current theory and research. Through a performance-based approach, participants will explore materials and organisational strategies that enable them to effectively plan, assess and implement language arts experiences that will provide primary school students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful learning.
