The NVQ in Public Sector Administration Level 2 is designed to provide training, assessment and recognized certification for public officers who wish to develop the required supervisory skillset for their level. It was developed from an occupational standard in Public Sector Administration which was based on the Barbados Public Service Competency Framework. This framework defines the competencies that lead to successful job performance and by extension, an effective public service professional; while the occupational standard further details the competencies and provides prescribed criteria for assessing the degree of proficiency at which they are performed.
