The study of the relationship of gross anatomy to the study of movement of the body parts with emphasis on understanding the interrelated internal and external forces which produce, modify or affect movement of the body’s musculoskeletal system.
This course provides the student with knowledge and skills used in designing the layout of a commercial kitchen. Emphasis will be placed on the planning and the selection of equipment.

Language is a complex system which allows individuals to interact with people and objects in their environment as they seek to construct meaning. It is, therefore, important for teachers to understand how children learn language and to provide instruction that engages them meaningfully as they learn the language arts.
This course is designed as an introduction to the teaching of Language Arts in the primary school.
Participants will investigate specific, practical and effective methods for the teaching of Language Arts based on current theory and research. Through a performance-based approach, participants will explore materials and organisational strategies that enable them to effectively plan, assess and implement language arts experiences that will provide primary school students with the skills and knowledge necessary for successful learning.

This unit deals with the basic principles of management and emphasizes the managerial tasks of decision making, communication, planning and organizing as well as the management of resources and understanding of basic ethical issues. These various aspects of management will be tailored to focus on the most effective methods which may be used to properly manage the laboratory.
This course is based on calculations commonly used in the clinical laboratory, and introductory calculus and statistics. Topics covered include logarithms, systems of weights and measures, introductory calculus, strengths of solutions, dilutions and concentrations, collection and presentation of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, regression and correlation, probability and probability distributions.
This course introduces students to the proper use and care of laboratory equipment and to fundamental laboratory methods of analysis. The concept of green chemistry with emphasis on waste minimization is introduced.
Students are introduced to advanced methods of laboratory analysis in this course. Emphasis is placed on the use of modern spectroscopic methods in quantitative and qualitative analysis with industrial and medical applications.
