Research Foundations for ODL Practitioners is the introductory course to the PREST On-line programme. This course develops your skills in designing a research proposal and guides you through determining the initial steps to conduct a research project in Open and Distance Learning.
In Module A6 you first consider presenting your findings and recommendations to various audiences. Then you will look at the processes involved in writing up and presenting your research findings in different ways. Finally, an examination of the barriers that can prevent your research findings from being more widely disseminated and adopted will be made, and how to overcome them.
Research Methods is an introductory course to the various elements and strategies involved in researching and writing essays, particularly academic papers. It is also a preparatory course for ARTH 419 Research Paper, in which students produce an illustrated research paper of approximately 3500-5 000 words toward partial fulfillment of their BFA. Research topics are restricted to the area of visual arts/visual culture.
Students continue work on the research paper started in ARTH 314. The course provides the assistance students need as they develop and apply research and analytical skills in order to complete their research paper. Students receive guidance in relating their research to their own artistic practice and are required to incorporate this relevance in the final draft of the research paper. In this course, students prepare the final manuscript of their illustrated paper. It becomes a printed document of approximately 3500-5000 words, which counts toward partial fulfillment of their BFA.
This course offers students the opportunity to be involved in the practices of environmental monitoring and project management. The course is designed to sharpen the research and oral presentation skills of the students and to bring to focus the knowledge base of the environmental science major.
This course is designed to give students knowledge of the restoration of teeth by fillings, inlays, and crowns bridges. They are also exposed to the process of root anal therapy and apicectomy.

Autodesk Revit is building information modeling software for architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, designers, and contractors.
Developed by Autodesk. It allows users to design a building and in 3D, annotate the model with 2D drafting elements, and access building information from the building model's database. Revit is 4D BIM capable with tools to plan and track various stages in the building lifecycle, from concept to construction and later maintenance and /or demolition.
