This course is designed to integrate all the skills, which have been imparted to the participant in the areas of Systems Analysis, application software packages and English communication. Participants will be required to develop a workable system, incorporating all the phases of the project life cycle. It is also expected that a verbal presentation of the total system will be made so that individuals will have the opportunity to explain actions taken and the results obtained from the project.
This course guides the student in the development of management skills assumed by professional nurses in management roles, including delegation of responsibilities, networking, facilitation of groups, conflict resolution, leadership, case management and collaboration. Concepts addressed include leadership, organizational structure, change, managing quality and performance, workplace diversity, budgeting and resource allocation, and delivery systems.
This course is designed to familiarize students with the major principles underlying selective areas in Management: Organisational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Project Management, and Health Economics. The selective areas in the mentioned disciplines have been designed to expose students to the concepts and experiences that may influence and enhance their practice as they interface with other health professionals as well as their clientele.
Managerial economics may be seen as applied microeconomics. The major purpose of this course is to enhance students’ appreciation of this feature to illustrate the relevance of microeconomics techniques to managerial decision-making.
This course is designed to teach students to apply the principles of human resource management to a sport setting. It will focus on teaching students the management skills that are necessary to manage human resources to create and maintain positive and productive work environments.
Managing Incoming Correspondence is one module in the course Registry Procedures.
Target group: Public Officers who are required to work in, manage or supervise a Registry as part of their daily tasks and new entrants to the public service who seek to understand the value of public records and how they contribute to the work in the ministry.
Aim: To provide participants with the requisite knowledge and skills for understanding and completing tasks associated with managing all correspondence which comes into departments.
Delivery: This course is delivered fully online with no face-to-face interaction.
