This course reviews and builds upon language structure and grammatical skills previously acquired to ensure a good foundation before undertaking the more specialized aspects of the Business Communication modules. It alos seeks to increase their skills in accuarely manipulating the target language through varied comprehension and written expression activities. This course introduces students to the key management concepts and their application in the practice of health services. It will develop students’ understanding of operational management including; predicting flows and costs, time series analysis, econometric metric models, problem solving, querying theories; evaluating performance systems and models for matching performance to population needs. It will also familiarize student with the techniques to identify priorities for change and managing change by design and implementing feasible change programme and provide a compressive overview manage care principle objectives types and models.

It explains what is marketing, discusses the marketing environment, micro and macro environment, managing marketing information, consumer behaviour, marketing strategies and mix, product development and the product life cycle, strategies, segmentation and target markets, pricing, the marketing channels and supply chain and finally the marketing plan.
