This course gives an overview of International Organisations and International Trade and aims to develop proficiency in written communication with emphasis on translation and summary techniques.

This course will train students to identify and analyse specific literary genres and their related backgrounds through studying and researching selected extracts from representative works.  Emphasis will be placed on the development of skills in critical thinking.

This course allows students to begin an in-depth study of a  text related to a specific theme.  They will read and analyse the text identifying and critiquing the sociological, psychological and other features used in the exposition of the specified theme. Excerpts from a second text will also be examined.

This course reviews and builds upon language structure and grammatical skills previously acquired to ensure a good foundation before undertaking the more specialized aspects of the Business Communication modules. The emphasis is placed on task-based language learning to develop written proficiency in areas of personal interest and in familiar contexts relevant both to countries of the target language and the Caribbean.

This course allows students to begin an in-depth study of a text related to a specific theme. Using the target language, they will read and abalyse the text, and identidfy and critique the sociologica, psychological and other features used in the exposition of the specific theme.

This course is a follow-up to SPNH 141 and 240. It reviews the text and themes previously studied and explores additional material that will broaden perspectives and deepen insights.
