This course is designed to introduce mathematical skills beyond CXC/GCE‑O'Level and to reinforce prerequisite skills. Topics to be covered include Number systems, surds, complex numbers, arithmetic and geometric progressions, binonial theorem, and matrices, among others.

This introductory course is for students of Economics, Accounts and related disciplines. It introduces the theory of matrices, sequences and series and their applications. The course also introduces students to the modeling of mathematical problems using differentiation and integration as well as correlation and regression.
This course is designed to help students with limited mathematical background, to become comfortable with mathematical concepts, and so facilitate studies in other subject areas. Topics covered include decimals, factions, percentages, the S.I. system, unitary method, ratio and proportion, strengths of solutions, basic algebraic concepts, simple equations and inequations, formulae and use of formulae, simultaneous equations, graphs and linear programming, matrices, sets, permutations, combinations, probability theory, and number bases.
