This course is an Elective categorised under the umbrella of Physical and Biological Sciences and is available to students who are eligible to take electives in this option. The course is designed to provide an introduction to the structure and function of the human body as an entry point to understanding the adaptations that result from sport and exercise. The course will provide students with both lecture and laboratory experiences to emphasize the importance of an active lifestyle to healthy living. Students are directed to focus on nutrition, personal habits and their possible relationship to the hypokinetic diseases most topical in today’s society.
