This is a basic course teaching the student to treat emergencies including fainting, hemorrhaging, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest and medial emergencies, which may be encountered in dental practice. Students are also trained to deal with hazards of drug therapy in relation to dental treatment.

This course focuses on the nature, scope, development and assessment of fisheries and aquaculture operations, with specific reference to Barbados and the region. It is divided into two modules; the first explores the biological, environmental and socio-economic factors that affect fisheries; the importance of fisheries in the region and the requirements for sustainable development. Module II explores the importance of aquaculture based on authentic Caribbean case studies.
The Fitness Measurement Appraisal course is an introduction to Research Methodology and measurement in exercise science. The course offers opportunities for interaction with the concepts and the development of a critical approach to the understanding of research literature in the areas of Fitness, Sports, and Physical Education in general.
