The development of law and its many sources is a main focus of this course and an awareness of function of law in society as opposed to moral rules. An examination of the Constitution as the role it plays in the legal system is also obtained. It will also identify the various Constitutional Rights and Civil Liberties of citizens and how these are protected. The Judiciary as a main canon of Constitutional Law is also examined.

The Transformer, Inductive, Electrostatic and Magnetic Circuits- Electrical Engineering III A & Lab

This course develops the concept of mutual inductance from the application of Lenz’s and Faraday’s laws. The theory is then used to develop models of constant voltage transformers at line and high frequencies. Concepts of referring impedances to the primary and secondary windings are introduced. With the aid of phasor diagrams and graphs, various calculations of voltage regulation, power, efficiency and bandwidth are made. Ideas of point charge and unit charge are introduced. Coulomb’s law, Field Theory, Gauss Flux theorem, calculus, Kirchhoff’s laws, Ampere’s theorem and Biot Savart’s law are studied and used for related calculations.

Theory and Practice of Nursing 1 (2025)

This program caters to persons seventeen years and older who are interested in pursuing studies designed to provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to provide basic nursing care for older adults. The program focuses on the basic theory and practice of nursing with supporting courses that introduce participants to Nutrition, HIV & AIDS, Computer Awareness and other disciplines pertinent to current issues facing the older adult. It also provides participants with opportunities for personal enrichment and strengthening of their social and interpersonal skills; additionally, participants are required to complete 180 hours of clinical attachment in health care institutions that offer care to older adults.
