This second course in the Oral Communication for the Office programme continues to develop oral proficiency in areas familiar to the business environment. Students will learn to use the foreign language to describe the structure and activities of companies and the hospitality industry. In addition to making travel arrangements, students will be able to provide essential business, cultural and geographical information on Barbados.

This is an intensive course designed to further develop the students' confidence in communicating with Spanish-speaking guests in situations occurring mainly at the reception desk and in other parts of a hotel in a Caribbean setting.
It further develops fluency in the use of simple language required for giving information concerning rates, conditions of stay, services and attractions of the hotel.
It continues to develop speed, pronunciation and intonation, and to address aural comprehension of a limited range in the language commonly used by native speakers in the context of the hospitality industry.
