This is an introductory course that focuses on the general principles of crop production and the cropping systems used locally and regionally. Examples of specific crops will be given indicating how cropping systems have evolved over the years. There is a practical component at the end of the classroom session.
This course exposes students to general production and cropping systems of specific crop groups of economic importance to the CARICOM region.
